If I look at the Coat of arms, the best device would be "Violence is always an option" because I see only weapons. Or it means that the weapons are the other way... Anyway Cardot's preference would go to the first one "No one can make you do anything".
So for the charge representing himself, Cardot would prefer the broken shackles. If possible. For the tinctures, he doesn't know yet.
a tree, a tankard, not really weapons, a bow for a zen archer, a philosophy of life, a wand for a spell caster, can contain any spell, a pair of boots ....
the scimitar,I agree, is a weapon, a survival tool for a little underground gnome who is also a dervish dancer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/dervish-dance-combat), trained by a qadiran dervish dancer (see Kii background)
And what do you think about the two new versions with the shackles ?
about the motto "No one can make you do anything", i think is a bit to anarchic, taking into account we are trying to bring some order and civilisation in the area :-) It would be a bit as when berlusconi said, as chief of government, that people should not pay taxes :-/
